The fight over abortion in Illinois just escalated.
S.B. 4011 – the Abortion Funding Grant Bill – has just been introduced in the Illinois Senate and immediately referred to the Assignments Committee, clearing the path toward a floor vote that could force Illinois taxpayers to fund abortion.
If passed, this bill would require the Illinois Department of Public Health to establish a brand new “Abortion Access Fund Grant Program” – using YOUR tax dollars to pay for abortions for uninsured and underinsured patients throughout the state.
And it would force health insurance companies to funnel excess premium dollars directly into that same abortion fund.
For years, radical Illinois legislators have pushed to expand abortion with no limits and no oversight. Now they want to make Illinois taxpayers foot the bill.
